Curry to miss Warriors-Hawks after injury
Stephen Curry has been ruled out of the Golden State Warriors' upcoming road game against the Atlanta Hawks after suffering a pelvic contusion during the team's win over Toronto, the club said Friday.
Curry limped out of Thursday's 117-114 win over the Raptors after taking a heavy fall under the basket.
The Warriors said Friday an MRI scan of Curry's injury confirmed an earlier diagnosis of a pelvic contusion, but indicated he had suffered no "structural damage."
"He will not travel with the team to Atlanta this morning and will not play in tomorrow night's game against the Hawks," the Warriors said. "He will be re-evaluated on Monday."
The Warriors have enjoyed a resurgence since the acquisition of former Miami star Jimmy Butler in February, and have moved into sixth place in the Western Conference with a 41-29 record.
Curry, 37, has averaged 24.6 points per game this season with 4.4 rebounds and six assists.
